Privacy policy
Last updated: 30 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how GBANGER Australia ("GBANGER", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information when you visit gbanger.com, create an account, place an order (including a subscription order), or otherwise interact with us.
We are committed to handling your personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and, for our customers in New Zealand, the Information Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ).
GBANGER Australia is operated by GBANGER PTY LTD (ABN 68 655 675 291, ACN 655 675 291).
1. The information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact and order information — name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, and order history.
- Payment information — your payment method and transaction details are collected and processed by our payment providers (Shopify Payments, Shop Pay and Afterpay). We do not store full credit card numbers on our own systems.
- Subscription information — if you sign up to a subscribe-and-save plan (managed through our subscriptions provider, Appstle), we and our subscriptions provider hold the information needed to schedule, bill and manage your recurring orders, including your ability to skip, pause or cancel.
- Account and marketing preferences — if you create an account or sign up for emails/SMS, we collect your details and your marketing consent status.
- Reviews and photos — if you choose to leave a product review (via Loox), we collect the content you submit, including any photos.
- Automatically collected information — your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring website, and similar technical data, collected using cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 5).
We only collect sensitive information (as defined under the APPs) if you choose to provide it, and only with your consent.
2. How we collect your information
We collect personal information directly from you, when you browse our store, create an account, place an order, subscribe to emails/SMS, enter a promotion, leave a review, or contact our customer service team; automatically, through cookies and tracking technologies when you use our website; and from third parties who help us run our business, such as our payment, delivery and marketing partners, and Shopify, the platform that hosts our store.
3. Why we collect, hold, use and disclose your information
We use your personal information to: process and fulfil your orders and subscriptions, including arranging payment and delivery; create and manage your account; provide customer service and respond to your enquiries, complaints and returns/refund requests; send you transactional messages about your order or subscription; with your consent, send you marketing communications about products, promotions and offers, and manage our loyalty/rewards program (Smile.io); personalise your experience on our site and show you relevant advertising on third-party platforms (see Section 6); improve our website, products and services; detect and prevent fraud and protect the security of our store; and comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, including tax and consumer law obligations in Australia and New Zealand.
4. Marketing communications and consent
We will only send you marketing emails or SMS messages if you have opted in, in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Every marketing message we send includes a clear way to unsubscribe, and we will action any unsubscribe request within a reasonable time (and no later than 5 business days). You can also opt out at any time by emailing hello@gbanger.com. Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional messages about an order or subscription you already have with us.
5. Cookies and tracking technologies
Like most online stores, we use cookies and similar technologies to run our website and to understand how it's used, including:
- Essential cookies — used by Shopify to operate core store functions such as your cart, checkout and account login.
- Analytics and performance cookies — help us understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it.
- Advertising cookies — used by Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and TikTok to measure and personalise the ads we show you on those platforms.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of personalised advertising through your Meta and TikTok ad preference settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how our website functions.
6. Third-party services we use
We share the minimum information necessary with trusted service providers who help us run our business, including: Shopify (our ecommerce platform and website host); Shopify Payments, Shop Pay and Afterpay (to process payments and buy-now-pay-later instalments); Appstle Subscriptions (to manage subscribe-and-save orders); Klaviyo (for email and SMS marketing); Smile.io (for our loyalty/rewards program); Loox (to collect and display product reviews); and Meta and TikTok (for advertising and analytics).
These providers only use your information to provide their service to us and are subject to their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
7. Overseas disclosure
Some of the service providers listed above store or process data outside Australia and New Zealand — for example, in the United States, where Shopify, Meta, TikTok and Klaviyo operate infrastructure. Where practicable, we've named those providers above so you can review where they're based. By using our website and providing your information, you consent to this overseas handling of your data for the purposes described in this policy.
8. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including using SSL encryption at checkout and working only with providers that meet PCI-DSS payment security standards. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information for as long as it's needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law — for example, Australian tax law generally requires us to keep records of sales for 5 years. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
10. Your rights and how to contact us
You have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, to request access to it, and to ask us to correct it if it's wrong or out of date.
To make a request, or if you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your information, please contact:

11. Children
Our website and products are not directed at, or intended for, children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.
